The stain removal process used by Chelsea Cleaning consists of the following steps.
Initial assessment
We conduct an expert assessment of the upholstery fabric or carpet material, and the type of spill or soil that caused the stain. Is it water, oil or pathogen-based?
By evaluating the cause of the stain, we can determine which cleaning agents and techniques are the most suitable for the task at hand.
Removal of surface debris
Any loose dirt, grime and pet hair is removed through vacuuming or beating, leaving the carpet, rug or upholstery free of debris.
Specialised pre-treatment
Stains are pre-treated by hand, using high-performance stain removal agents. Our specially formulated detergents are designed to loosen and lift the offending material – be it blood, red wine, coffee or any other substance.
Steam and extraction
We use an industrial-strength steam cleaning machine to extract deep-seated stains embedded in the fabric or carpet pile. Depending on the type of carpet, rug or upholstery, cleaning by hand or dry cleaning may be a better option.
Final inspection and air drying
A final inspection is conducted to guarantee customer satisfaction, and the freshly cleaned and stain-free items are left to air dry.
